Best Tequila Cocktails - Tequila Cocktail is not just margarita.

One thing that popped up when someone ask me about tequila and cocktails, Margarita!

There's so much more to tequila than just that well known cocktail that you can find in almost every bar in the planet.

Here a list of innovative tequila based-drink that i collected.


The Lucky Shamrock 

Sweet and sour, perfect combination between apple, lime and tequila.

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Teqúila
1 ½ oz Soúr Apple Liqúeúr
1 oz Lime Júice
½ oz Agave (optional)*
Sprite to taste*
Optional Garnishes: Lime Wedges, Slices of Apple

Fill a shaker with ice and put in all ingredients, except the Sprite. Shake vigorously until you can feel the shaker is chill. Fill a highball glass with ice and slices of apple (if any). Strain the cocktail into glass. Top with sprite and garnish with wedge of lime. 

Cherry Lime Tequila

Perfect for hot summer days, easy to made and very refreshing. Perfect combination between lime juice, cherry juice, tequila and 7up.

Ingredients:
Ice
Juice of 1/2 a Lime
2 ounces Cherry Juice (not from concentrate)
1 ounce Tequila
7UP or Cherry 7UP

Fill glass with ice. Pour over lime juice, cherry juice and tequila. Give it a stir. Finish with 7UP (approx 2-4 ounces).

Paloma with Fresh Grapefruit Juice

Paloma is the most popular tequila based cocktails in Mexico. It so refreshing with perfect balance of sweet, bitter and salty.

Ingredients:
kosher salt
1 large grapefruit or 2 oz grapefruit juice
2 oz tequila 
1/2 oz fresh lime juice from 1/2 lime
1/4 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
soda water to preference

Slice the grapefruit in half widthwise. Juice one half of the fruit and set aside. Cut the other half into 1/2" slices. 

Spread kosher salt onto a small plate and shake to create an even layer of salt. 

Run one of the grapefruit slices along the rim of the glass, then dip the glass into the salt to create a salt rim. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the grapefruit juice, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup or agave nectar. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Pour the cocktail into the prepared cocktail glass. Top with soda water to your preference and garnish with a grapefruit wedge. Serve immediately. 


Blackberry Tequila Cocktail

Ingredients:
1.5 oz tequila
4 oz 7UP
1.5 oz of blackberry simple syrup
1 oz fresh lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a glass over ice. Stir to combine. Garnish with blackberries and a twist of lime. 


Raspberry, Lime and Tequila Cocktails

Ingredients:
8 raspberries
1 teaspoon honey (I prefer a light honey, such as clover)
Juice of 1/2 lime
2 fresh mint leaves
1 ounce tequila
Cold sparkling water

Place raspberries, honey and lime juice in a small measuring cup. Muddle mixture until raspberries release their juices. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing down on solids to remove all liquid. Add mint leaves to the strained mixture and muddle to release mint fragrance. Pour mixture over ice and top with tequila and sparkling water.
